The partial scholarship amounted to в‚1.200 and -if necessary- travel subsidy is sponsored by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) with funds from the German Federal Foreign Office (AuswГ¤rtiges Amt) and available for 10 applicants. Please keep in mind that the scholarship is meant for reducing the program fee of в‚1.790 (early bird fee) and cannot be paid in cash to the applicants.

Upon acceptance of the scholarship, the rest of the program fee of в‚590 for early-bird application has to be paid by the applicants. The amount of the travel subsidy varies depending on your home country.

This year we are pleased to offer a number of scholarships for students who wish to join the engineering module of ISU 2014.

Requirements for the scholarship are:

Г? a strong letter of motivation stating why you are eligible for the scholarship

Г? one letter of recommendation from your professor (or at least a lecturer with doctorate degree)

Г? a completed and signed ISU 2014 application form

Г? a letter of motivation for joining ISU 2014

Г? a CV

Г? a copy of academic transcripts of all university exams (in case the transcripts are issued in languages other than English or German, please send a copy in the original language and translations in English)

Г? Proof of English proficiency (for applicants whose native language is not English)

Included in the program fee are:

Гј Two seminars within the engineering module

Гј Intensive German course (from A1 to C 2)

Гј Course materials

Гј Accommodation in host family including breakfast and dinner

Гј One workshop

Гј Bus/Tram tickets in Kassel during the ISU 2014

Гј Health and liability insurance during the ISU 2014

Гј Cultural programs organized by ISU (e.g. trips to Frankfurt or Eisenach, movie night, etc.)
