Financial Accountability

Ensuring cost efficiency in stationary use for the restaurant operation and low waste in operation items without compromising the quality of service standards.

Conditions of Work:

Working hours 48 per week as per Jumeirah working hours policy in the UAE and the UAE labour law. This role involves a variety of shift timings (morning, evening, night, etc.)

Role Overview

 

Purpose:

Responsible for greeting & guiding all guests visiting the restaurant in the relevant outlet, ensure personalized welcoming for all diners. Coordinate table allocation and flow of bookings, actively promoting F&B offering, taking bookings, menu printing, buffet labels and other administrational tasks

Main Duties:

· Meeting & greeting guest visiting the hotel and the restaurants or banquet functions

· Actively promoting the F&B offering of the hotel and offering to handle reservations

· Menu printing

· Follow up on administrational tasks

· Offering welcome arrival experience

· Escorting to table while explaining buffet offering

· Ascertain satisfaction of table

· Ascertain additional requirements of pashmina, reading glasses, bag hanger etc.

· Ensuring full registration addressing the guest by name

· Follow up on payment of group bookings

· Extending farewell whilst inviting guests back to return

· Cashiering

· Table allocation

· Assisting other F&B outlets when ever needed

· Ensure that s/he adheres to all hotel and company standards, Business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health, Hygiene & Safety, HACCP

Tasks (optional):

Cross exposure in other areas of the hotel

Assisting other departments and SBU’s

 

Role Specifications

Qualifications

Essential: previous high level customer service experience or 5* hotel working experience

 

Desirable:

· Hotel Management graduate or F&B 5 star operations certificate holder

Experience

Essential:

· Minimum a year of experience in 5 star hotel or similar environment

 

Desirable:

· Previous receptionist or hostess experience in hospitality industry

· Minimum 2-3 years experience in 5star hotel

Skills

Essential:

· High level of verbal and written English

· Compatible with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint

 

Desirable:

· Other preferred languages: Arabic, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian

· Previous reservation system experience

· Micros and Opera knowledge

 

Competencies

Essential:

· At least High college graduate

 

Desirable:

· Hotel Management graduate or F&B operations certificate holder
