Children like winter because they can play snow balls and make snowmen. They can skate, ski and sledge. Winter is a great fun!

Spring is the morning of the year. The winter is over and there is no ice on the ground. The spring months are: March, April and May.

The sky is blue and the sun is shining brightly. The birds are coming back from the south. It gets warmer and warmer. The days get longer and the nights get shorter. Sometimes it rains but the rains are warm. There are new leaves and blossoms on the trees. The air is fresh. Everything is full of life and joy.

Summer is the hottest season of the year. The summer months are: June, July and August. Summer has the longest days in a year. The nights are usually smaller than those of winter. It is a very good season for holidays.

The sun is hot and bright. The sky is blue and clear. It sometimes rains. But the weather is not so changeable as in spring and autumn. There are a lot of fruit and vegetables in the fields and gardens.

People go to the seaside and sunbathe. Summer is the best part of the year for the pupils. They have summer vacations.

Autumn is the nicest season of the year. The autumn months are: September, October and November. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The sun is not so bright and warm. It is a Harvest time for farmers.

It is a season when the trees are fantastic — yellow, red, green and brown. The ground is like a carpet of many colours. Birds don’t sing their songs. They begin to leave for warm countries. It is often foggy, rainy and snowy in November. Nature slowly falls asleep for winter.
