a) 3 electrical fuel pumps:

- service tank - unit 463

- external tanks - ЭЦH-91Б (2pcs)

c) fuel valves 768 600

Fuel pumps

a) ЭЦН-91Б (2pcs) - are located in the external tanks and supply fuel

to me service tank:

- V=27V±10%

- I=7A

b) unit 463 - is located in the service tank and pumps the fuel to the

engines:

- V= 27V ± 10%

- I=17A

- Q= 400 I/hour

- P= 1.2kgf7cm2

c) flight maintenance

- switch on 3 CB "Fuel tanks pumps"

- set the 3 switches " Fuel pumps" (middle panel) to the "ON" position

(Up)

- 3 lights panel will indicate the fuel pump operation by means of the 3

fuel pressure signalizers type СД-29A

- when the pump failed or the fuel is finished, the corresponding light

does off

Fuel valves There are 5 electrical fuel valves, type 768 600:

- engines shut-off valves (2pcs)

- fuel by-pass valves (3pcs)

The engine shut-off valves cut off the fuel supply to the engines. Before engines starting, open shut-off valves with their switches "Shut-off valves" (middle panel) in up position. The light-panel under the switches with inscriptions "Left closed", "Right closed" will be off.

In case of fire in the engine compartments and after landing shut-off valves should be shut down.

The fuel by-pass valve should be normally closed. In case of floating valve of the service tank failed, it is necessary to open fuel by-pass valve with the switch "By-pass system" (middle panel), which we set to the "Open" position. Shut down the valve, when fuel amount in the service tank is equal 4201. Open the valve again, when fuel amount decreases to 3001.

There are CBs "Shut-off valves" and "By-pass valve'* for the circuit protection.

The external tanks fuel system has two fuel by-pass valves: forward and backward. They connect the pipeline of the external tanks. On the fuel panel there is switch "By-pass valve", which usually should be in the "Open" position (up). When we set this switch to the position "Close'* (down), the light-panel "Valve closed" comes on.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.

The main and duplicating hydraulic systems consist of:

- 2 valves ГA-74M/5

- 5 valves ГA-192/2

a) Valves ГA-74M/5.

They connect the hydraulic boosters to the respective hydraulic system.

The valve is composed of 2solenoid coils: one-for connection, another -for disconnection.

The valve coil is selfdienergised by means of the micro switch at the end

of valve stroke: - V=27v±10%

- J=10A, max

There are 2CBs "Hydraulic system" and 2 switches "main" and "Duplicating" (middle panel). They should be switched on before engines starting. When the hydraulic fluid pressure will increase during the engine starting the duplicating system will be connected- pressure signalizes will switch on the light "Duplicating on". After the engines starting, we press the button "Duplicating disconnection". In this case the duplicating system is switched off, but the main system is switched on. The light "Duplicating on" goes off; but the light "main on" comes on. In case of the main hydraulic system failed, the duplicating system will be switched on automatically. The pilot must switch off the main hydraulic system switch and perform the emergency landing.

b) Valves ГA -192/2

- 3 valves switch on the hydraulic system of the autopilot in the mode

of "Stabilization".

- 1 valve is switched on with "Friction" buttons and ensures the

"Collective pitch levers" brakes release.

- 1 valve controls the hydraulic stopper mechanism, which protects the main rotor blades from bumping against tail boom, while the helicopter is on the ground. It is switched on by micro switches on the main struts of landing gear. They switch off this system, when the helicopter is taking off.

The valve, ГA-192/2 is composed of coil and spring, which move the slide valve to the "on" or "off" position.

EXTERNAL SLING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.

The external lock is composed of two coils, which open the lock. The coils switched on with the press buttons "Tactical release" (current 6A) and "Emergency release" (9.5 A), the lock may be released automatically in case of the switch "Ex. sling auto release" is switched on and in case of the load carried on the external sling is touching the ground (the cable is reduced and the micro switch gives the signal for lock opening) - light panel "Lock opened" comes on. There are 2CBs "open lock controlling".

The buttons 'Tactical release" and "Emergency release" are located on the left collective pitch lever.

The switch "Ex. sling auto release" and light "Lock opened" are located on the left side pane!

PILOTS CABIN FANS JB-3Q2TA. They ensure air circulation in the pilot's cabin

- V-27v±l0%

- I=0.8A

The fans are switched on with the switches "Fan" (left and right electric boards).

WINDSCREEN WIPERS

They are designed for mechanical wiping of precipitation, which are started by electric actuators ЭПК-2T-60.

- V=27V±10%

- I=2.6A

- Ist speed - 64-90 double turns/min

- 2nd speed ~ 38-60 double turns/min

Flight maintenance

- switch on 2 CBs "Windscreen wipers"

- set the " Windscreen wipers" switch (left and right 3-angulai panels)

to the position "Start", if the air temperature is:

- +30 - -20°C - not more 5 min

- below -20°C - not more 30min

man change it over to the I speed

- if the air temperature above -20°C we may switch on just to the 1st or

2nd speed

- for the switching off set the 5th position switch to the "OFF' position

- if after the electric actuator is t° switched off, the wiper blade stops

so that it hinders observation for the pilot, the wiper blade can be

moved to the extreme position, pressing the 5th position switch to the

"Reset" position.
