The main feature of the village are the salt mines, the extraction of rock salt which is held even with the Bronze Age (second millennium BCE). Salt lakes in western Solotvino are place fot rest. In the village there is a museum of the history of salt mining.

The largest of the lakes is Lake Solotvynska Cunegonde. The lake is named in horner the German Queen Kunigunda, the wife of the prince of Kiev Yaropolk. According to legend, through these places they traveled to Kiev from exile.

The Tisza is one of the main rivers of Central Europe. Once, it was called "The most Hungarian river" because it flowed entirely within Hungary. Today, it crosses several national borders.

Solotvino and Carpathians are rich in sights to visit.
