What time do you get up in the morning? How to start your morning?

Are you finished school?

- Right now I'm doing my last year in school. When I finished I will go study “film making” at a University. It will take another 3 years.

Where do you get inspiration?

- I get inspired by other music videos, films, or just by music. Music can give me strong visions about visuals. Most of my ideas I get in the middle of the night or when I'm on the road with friends.

What is your favorite song (which inspires)?

- The latest the song and music video which gave me goosebumps is from Sia with the song “Chandelier”. In the beginning it feels so strange to watch this little girl perform, but she expresses and visualizes the emotion so intense with her movements that I feel really connected. Who is your favorite actor / actress?

- Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston... and many more.

The last movie you watched?

- The latest movie I've watched was the new Godzilla movie. The movie is okay, but some actors played really bad and also some dialogues were quite unrealistic.

Who is the authority for you in the photo and video industry?

- Martin Scorsese and Lars von Trier are great film maker. Also Spike Jonze did a great job on his last film “Her” (2013). It would be a dream to work with them.

What is the hardest for you to work on the videos?

- The hardest thing for me is while filming to focus on other things too.

I'm not just the camera guy... I'm also the director, the production manager, sound guy, make up artist and so on... Sometimes I become very stressed but it's all worth it in the end. I like to shoot with the artist in a very small group of people involved, so that the artist can feel more comfortable.

How do you take criticism about your video- and photo- works?

- It would be nice if somebody with knowledge about photo and video would give me more criticism. I'm very open minded, self reflected and very critic, because I want to achieve a high quality in my work.

Would you agree to make a video porn or erotica for a lot of money?

- It would really interest me to work on something like that, but more in an artistic way. Erotic and sexuality are also a part of serious film making.

Do you play drums? Or you have a little time for this now?

- My time is very limited. So I don't really play drums anymore

Have you got a plan to shoot some video in Russia?

- I already made a video in Russia when I was with Jack Strify on tour. It is a close documentary with Strify. In general I really like to film different places and things that I don't find at home.

What time do you get up in the morning? How to start your morning?

- For school I need to wake up at 5:30 in the morning. I'm a night owl and it sucks so much to go to bed early.
