The International Information Nobel Centre (IINC), Tambov regional branch on Nobelistics of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, rectory of Russian New University, Tambov State Technical University, Tambov Branch of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts are pleased to invite you to participate in the Nobel Congress – 10 anniversary International Meeting-Conference winners of Nobel Prize Winners and Nobelists «Science, Technology, Society and Nobel Movement", which is dedicated to the 180 anniversary of Alfred Bernhard Nobel, 25 anniversary of IINC and will take place 28-31 October 2013 in Tambov (Russia).

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

The Nobel Prizes Winners in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Peace, Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, as well as about 200 nobelists (Russian and foreign scientists and specialists who study the life and work of A.Nobel and his family, of the Nobel Prizes Laureates) will be attended in the meetings of the Congress.

Representatives from the embassies of Sweden and Norway at Russia, international organizations, Nobel companies, University professors and students, employees of libraries, museums and archives, writers and journalists, collectors, etc. had been invited.

Laureates of the Nobel Prizes, their relatives and colleagues will make scientific and popular lectures, hold press conferences, meetings with scientists and students.

Congress participants can submit reports and presentations, nobelistics materials (books, pamphlets, newspaper and magazine articles, original documents or their copies, collections of photographs, stamps, coins, etc.) or be guests without speaking.

Topics of reports or communications: the life and work of A.Nobel and all the representatives of the Nobel’s dynasty, Nobel Prizes, the Nobel Foundation and the Nobel Committees, the life and work of the Nobel Prizes Winners (including scientific, literary and political activities), the analysis of Laureates’ works and developing of their ideas, the Nobel movement, Nobel shares in world, Scientometrics and Bibliometrics of Nobel information, as well as other aspects of the nobelistics. Laureates of the Nobel Prizes will submit the reports on any topic.

Congress opens in the Tambov Drama Theatre (Internatsionalnaya Street, 15), October 29, 2013 at 12.00 p.m. solemn meeting dedicated to 180 anniversary of A.B.Nobel, the founder of the Nobel Prizes, and 25 anniversary of IINC, awarding diplomas and awards from IINC and other organizations, and will last until 14.00 p.m.

From 16.00 to 18.00 p.m. – press-conference of the Nobel Prizes Laureates.

 

 

Tambov Drama Theatre is one of the first provincial theatres in Russia, founded in 1786 by an outstanding poet and public figure, Tambov Deputy G.R.Derzhavin.

Scientific papers and reports will be held 30 and 31 of October, 2013 from 10.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m. and from 16.00 to 19.00 p.m.

Exhibition of the IINC “Museum of Nobel's family and the Nobel Prizes Laureates” and the IINC “Nobel Scientific Library”, specially prepared for the jubilees, will open to visitors at October 21, 2013, the day of 180 anniversary of the birth of Alfred Nobel, in the great Hall of the Tambov Regional Museum and Exhibition Center (K.Marks Street, 142).

Guided tour for participants and guests of the Nobel Congress will be held from October 29, 2013 from 10.30 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. Plenary meetings will be there at 30-31 October 2013.

 

Museum and Exhibition Center is located in one of the most beautiful buildings of Tambov – former House of merchant M.L.Schorschorov, built in 1900.

 

Duration: lectures – 40 min, report – 20 min., message – 10 min.

Working languages: Russian, English, German, French, Spanish. Provides for the work of translators. The Conference rooms are equipped with technical devices with Internet access.

The estimated total number of participants, accompanying persons and guests of the Congress are 150 peoples, as well as about 350 students.

The full scientific program (Announcement No.3) will be sent to all registered participants and guests of the Congress after September 20, 2013 via e-mail.

PUBLICATIONS

All materials (lectures, reports, messages, articles, notes) will be published before the opening of the Congress and presented to each registered party.

Each participant, accompanying person or guest of the Congress, registered and has paid the registration fee, will receive a kit: program, Sourcebooks, a special issue of the international Almanac of Nobel movement “Nobelistics”, collection “Nobelistics. IINC Communications” (2013, vol.5,), fragments of IINC databases, books and souvenirs.

The full texts of lectures, presentations, reports, articles and notes will be published in the Special Edition “Nobelistics. IINC Communications”. Requirements for registration materials for publication in the collection: volume from several rows up to 40 thousand characters; A5 format (20 mm margins everywhere), without hyphens; structure: title, authors Name, affiliations, mailing address, phone, e-mail, text material; tables, pictures, diagrams, photos, paste in text or accompany individual files.jpg; references at the end of the material.

The deadline for submission of material for publication – September 20, 2013, for inclusion in the program of the Congress without publishing the material – September 30, 2013.

 

REGISTRATION

 

Congress participants can register in advance as a lecturer, presenter or author, accompanying person or guest without intervention.

Applications must be sent to the Organizing Committee not later than September 20, 2013 on the attached form.

Final registration takes place in Tambov at 28 and 29 October, 2013 from 10.00 a.m. to 16.00 p.m., 30 and 31 October, 2013 from 8.00 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. in the Tambov Branch of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts at the address:
