Lab #8 Building of CrossTab Reports (4 hours)

There are two crosstab examples included with the product, "Crosstab.rod" (dynamic crosstab) and "CrosstabStatic.rod" (static crosstab). The term "crosstab" and both examples are explained in this document.

The term “crosstab” (or “cross tab”) is a contraction of the phrase “cross tabulation”. The word “cross” refers to the fact that fields in a crosstab are repeated across the page as well as from top to bottom, forming a two-dimensional grid. For example, each line of a quarterly sales by sales rep. crosstab might contain sales figures for 4 quarters:

1) Open Actuate ERDPro8 from folder ER2 or ER on your Desktop:

Copy the Folder “Lab8 Crosstab Reports” from Student Drive.

Open the Crosstab.rod file:

2) Highlight Content and right click on it:

3) Click on the Crossstab Builder and you will get:

4) Click OK And Run your Report. You will get the Report Document;

5)Выполните пункты 2 и3 снова и выделите Sum([Extension]) и нажмите кнопку х (delete)

6) Клик OK And Run your Report. Вы получите Рипорт Документ;

Open the CrosstabStatic.rod file from folder “Lab8 Crosstab Reports”:

1) Double Click Control: Content3, and you will get

2)Обратите внимание на ValueExp которое может быть отредактированное в Expression Builder after clicking on Ellipse Button:

3) Клик OK, Apply, Close, And Run your Report. Вы получите Рипорт Документ;

4) Откройте Expression Builder after clicking on Ellipse Button:

И измените ValueExp to SUM([Amount]) where ([Year] = paramYear AND [Quarter] <> "1")

5) Клик OK, Apply, Close, And Run your Report. Вы получите Рипорт Документ;

6) Сравните полученные значения для Q1 2004 полученные при разных условиях на Рис 1

И Рис 2.

8) Определите, какие значения для Q1 2004 выведены на Рис 2 и как должен быть изменен

Repeat all steps (4-6) for Content (4,5,6)
