Ex. 6. Use the verbs from brackets in the Future Simple or the Present Simple:

Ex. 7. Rewrite the sentences using the Future Progressive Tense:

Example: I’m going to write letters from 3 o’clock until 4.30. So at 4 o’clock I’ll be writing letters.

1. He is going to watch television from 9 until 10 o’clock this evening. So at 9.30 this evening he ….

2. We are going to clean our flat from 9 until 11 o’clock tomorrow. So at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning we ….

3. She is going to study from 7 o’clock until 10 o’clock this evening. So at 8 o’clock this evening she ….

Ex. 8. Complete the sentences in A using the will be + ing form. Find a question in B to go with each sentence:

Ex. 10. Make the following sentences negative and interrogative:

1. By the time he comes we’ll have completed the task ourselves.

2. He’ll have guessed the crossword puzzle by the time the boss comes back.

3. She’ll have taken up something else by the summer.

4. Somebody will have shown up by six.

5. They will have done everything by Sunday.

6. Ann will have the tickets by the time you arrive at the station.

7. Tom will have ordered everything when we come to the restaurant.

8. By 2020, people will have learnt to grow on the seabed.

9. By the end of the autumn, they will have built a new skating-rink in this district.

10. Anthony will have opened a new café not far from here by the end of the year.

 

Ex. 11. Complete the following sentences using the words given in brackets:

Model: Francis came to the US from Britain almost five years ago. Next Monday it will be exactly five years since he arrived.

Next Monday he will have been here for exactly five years.

1. Pete and Jane are going to the concert. It is 6.30 p.m. The concert starts at 7.00 p.m. It will take them 45 minutes to get to the hall. By the time they get there, (the concert/ already/to start).
