Windows

The Portal can only be used with Internet Explorer 7- 9 or Mozilla Firefox 3.6 - 20 browsers. The use of Internet Explorer 8 / 9 in the 64-bit version is not supported yet as Adobe does not provide a 64-bit browser plugin for pdf files.

- Adobe Reader 9.2 or 10.1 or higher has to be installed. If you are using older versions we highly recommend an update to be able to use the DAAD Portal. You may donwload Adobe Reader for free at: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Mac OS X

You need Mac OS 10.6 or higher, Adobe Reader/Acrobat Pro 10.1.3 or higher and Firefox to use the portal right now. (Reader/Acrobat 11 will not provide a working Firefox plugin for Mac OS.) Additionally you may need to activate the 32-bit mode for Firefox.

As Firefox started disabling the Adobe pdf plugin you will have to enable this plugin at "Tools" "Add-ons" "Plugins".

Linux

You may access the Portal using the combination Mozilla Firefox 3.x and Adobe Reader 9.2 or higher. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of the DAAD Portal. We recommend using a Windows PC to access the Portal's full functionality.
