GVDA: MLTV11 Enaitoti Women Group works in the areas of sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) and HIV prevention in Kenya. Through the Alternative rite of Passage grogram which mainly focuses on the pastoralist communities our main focus groups are men, boys and communities although our programs are cross cutting. We employ innovative, tested, integrated approaches that are simple, homegrown, participatory, and holistic and ones that reinforce existing work, our thematic interventions are guided by research, training, synergy development, advocacy, tool development and extensive grassroots engagement.our key revolve is to build competences, raise the level of awareness, influence attitude/behavior change and objectively provided information.

Our SGBV programming specifically focuses on addressing attitudes that generate traditions of terror and encourage the use of violence as enshrined in patriarchy, negative masculinity and the entire negative socialization processes. We reserve the trend by targeting the men and boys and working with them to change negative attitudes, practices and beliefs that put women and girls at even greater risk of vulnerability including HIV infection.

Enaitoti strength has been our fostering of active and meaningful involvement of the program beneficiaries. The target groups are involved as participants in the conceptualization, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program as decision makers, advocates, peer educators, change makers/agents, campaigners and planners of activities.
