and after that say: okey, and now it`s going to be hard

2. Warming up:

Ask your students about what their plans are: for after-class-time, for tomorrow, for next year, for next future!

3. Baby Break:

Ask your students to make a little gymnastics or show the gymnastics your own and they better repeat!

The teacher says a word, then members of the teams take turns running to the board and writing one letter. The team that completes the word the fastest, with the correct spelling, wins the round.

BIG BREAK (12-15 minutes)

ATT: 1) Try to find out how your students are doing after the first part of a class? What was good? What was bad? (Pay special attention to the shy ones) 2)you are welcome to help yourself with the icebreaking communication with students while TEA-MOMENT

  1. SPEAKING BOX:

ATT: be careful with your students speaking, please try to help them out in case needed. Make sure that everyone is involved

1) Divide your students into 3 cool groups:)

2) Let the groups sit apart from each other (on a distance)

3) Announce them that IT IS A TIME TO HAVE A DEBATE over food!

4) Point out the positions they are going to defend:

1st group – Representatives of Junk Food Restaurants

2nd group – Representatives of 5-star Restaurants

3rd group – Representatives of Home-Made Food

5) Announce them that they are going to be protecting their “eating priorities”, and a group which is going to be coming up with more statements for their benefit – wins! (huge amount of money they can share)

*** basic questions which have to be answered:

-What is good about eating at …?

-Are you going to feed your kids with this food...?

-What is so good about it?

6) The game structure: DEBATE (means say ONE AFTER ANOTHER)

6. Slang Time:

ATT: after introducing a phrase or a word, please, ask your students to make a sentence (example) funny and real!

1. Face up to - смотреть в лицо невзгодам, мужественно принимать то, что, может, и не совсем приятно

2. «Face the music» - встретить что-л. получить по заслугам, понести наказания.

3. «Beat about the bush» - "толочь воду в ступе", "ходить вокруг да около"

4. «bug-eyed» - глаза по пять копеек

5. quite the cheese! - как раз то, что надо; подходяще

6. To kick oneself – сожалеть, стыдиться

7. To Talk back – огрызаться

8. Tight! - класный, клевый (это сленг современного кампуса) = Cool!

9. To crack a book - раскрывать книгу (сесть за учебу)

10. To make eyes at - стрелять глазами, строить глазки

7. Game Box:

Everyone is handed a sheet of blank paper and they each write one sentence (the sillier the better) without telling anyone what they wrote.

Then everyone hands their sheet of paper to the person to their left. Everyone looks at the sentence the previous person wrote and draws a picture (without any words!) representing the sentence to the best of their ability.

Then they fold the sentence above their picture (the sentence the previous person wrote) and they hand the sheet of paper to the next person to the left, who will only be able to see the picture.

After seeing the picture they write a sentence that they think the picture is trying to replicate. This continues so on and so forth. The game goes until the sheets of paper are filled with sentences and drawings. At the end it is hilarious to see how the original sentence was transformed into something completely different.

Here's an example:
S: The old man bought pills from the drug store
P: A picture of a man buying something from a store
S: Small man with weird face takes things from kiosk
this continues and its hilarious!

8. To sum up:

· Talking to students about how do they like classes so far

· What would they like to do over at the class (games to play)

· What would they fix

· FEED BACK TIME: Give out little pieces of paper and ask them to write down a little feed back. Explanation to tell the students: “we are very interested in your success and the atmosphere you are in, that`s why every class we are going to fill up a Feed-Back-Sheet so we can fix your class the way it would be perfect for you”

9. Collect Feed-Back-Sheets (give them all to Anastasia Koroleva afterwards)

ATT: be careful, don`t loose it J

10. Say a little inspiration to students before letting them go. Don`t forget to THANK THEM for the class with APPLOUSE!
