Dear Sally,
We're having a fantastic time in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The guest house we are staying at is lovely and our room has got a balcony with a spectacular view.
The weather is marvellous. At the moment, I am relaxing and having a cup of coffee. Dave is surfing. You know how crazy he is about surfing!
Hawaii is a really wonderful place to spend a holiday. The seafood here is absolutely delicious and the nightclubs are full of life till the early hours of the morning!
I'd better go now. See you in two weeks!

Thanks a lot for yourletter. You're going to have agreat summer, it seems. Your plans sound fantastic.
I'vegot a lot of plans for the summer, too. Firstly, I'm going to relax for a while because I'm very tired, then I'm going to have some fun! I'm going on holiday with my friend in June. We're going to spend two weeks in exotic Hawaii! When we come back, I'm going to join my local drama group because, as you know, I want to become an actress one day. I'll let you know when the first performance is, so you can come and watch. At the end of the summer, I'm going to visit my sister in LA. She's getting married on 29th August. Isn't that fantastic?
Well, that's all for now. I'll send you a postcard from Hawaii. Have a great summer!

Dear Lee,
Thanks for your letter! It was great to hear all your news. Since we last spoke I've been really busy too.
First of all, I finally got my driver's licence! You can't imagine how relieved I was after failing four times! I'm now working overtime to save up for my own car. Remember I was thinking about starting Spanish classes? Well, I finally decided to enrol in a language school in my area with lessons on Saturday. I'm really enjoying it but as you can imagine there's hardly any free time left!
Fortunately it's already May and I've got my summer holiday to look forward to. On 1st June I'm flying to lbiza for a week and I'll probably hire a jeep there. I know it's rather short notice, but would you care to join me? It’ll be great fun! After my holiday I'll be very busy with some conferences I have to organise for work. Then, in December I'll have my Spanish exam, so I'll really need to study hard after the summer!
