Health care in Ukraine – охорона здоровя в Україні

In Ukraine medical help is available in hospitals, polyclinics, and also in medical centres in such places as factories and schools. Health service is based on local therapeutics as they are the first who diagnose. Some certain district is appointed to a polyclinic and this district is divided into several areas. Each area is appointed to a certain therapeutist. All the people who live in that area visit their appointed doctor

In a hospital there is also a therapeutic department, where pneumonia, bronchitis or asthma are treated. There also exists a wide network of ambulance service in Ukraine. Nowadays there are a lot of fee-paying clinics where one can get any kind of medical help. Many of them are specialized: dentist offices, optician centre’s, etc. There also exist some medical associations in Ukraine, such as Ukrainian Diabetes Association.

Healthcare abroad is free to all citizens, registered long-term residents and members of the armed services who are serving abroad. There is the National Health Service in charge of healthcare. Department of Health centrally governs the National Health Service. Originally it consisted of one national organisation. Each service has its own legislation. The National Health Service is a free service to all residents of the country. Private hospitals are owned by private companies. General practitioners provides basic general healthcare and are the first point of contact with the health system. GPs operate in practices, which consist of several other practitioners. If you need to consult a doctor, you have to make an appointment at his practice or if you need urgent attention, you can call him to your home, attend the surgery on a speculative basis or visit your nearest emergency department. GP's prescribe drugs, treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide preventive care and health education.

Cancer- рак

Cancer is the uncontrolled growth and spread of cells. It can affect almost any part of the body. The growths often invade surrounding tissue and can metastasize to distant sites. Many cancers can be prevented by avoiding exposure to common risk factors, such as tobacco smoke. In addition, a significant proportion of cancers can be cured, by surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, especially if they are detected early. Cancer is really very dangerous disease and all people must be very careful and sometimes visit and consult a doctor. There are several cases when this disease can be prevented and even cured. First of all people must have a healthy lifestyle without bad habits.

World health organization – ВОЗ

World Health Organization (WHO), specialized agency of the United Nations established in 1948 to further international cooperation for improved health conditions. Although it inherited specific tasks relating to epidemiccontrol, quarantine measures, and drug standardization from the Health Organization of the League of Nations (set up in 1923) and the International Office of Public Health at Paris (established in 1907), WHO was given a broad mandate under its constitution to promote the attainment of “the highest possible level of health” by all peoples. WHO defines health positively as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Each year WHO celebrates its date of establishment, April 7, 1948, as World Health Day.
