Day 2, March 19, Thursday

Morning

Spring School Opening Ceremony Chaired by DIT Business School Director and Dean, Mr. Paul O’Sullivan and representative from Russian Embassy in Ireland (DIT Management House)

Introduction session with DIT professors (meet the professors and programme coordinators, get the programme information, etc.)

 

DIT Campus Tour, including library. Introduction to research agenda and research databases.

Afternoon

Lecture: “Doing Business in Ireland, Economy and Challenges”, Brian McGillion, Senior Lecturer, DIT.

Evening

Reception with Russian Embassy delegates, School Director and DIT Professors.

 

Day 3, March 20, Friday

Morning

DIT Lecture Session: Financial Risk Management (Introduction), Dr. Valentina Tarkovska, Lecturer, DIT

Afternoon

Day 5, March 22, Sunday

Morning

Day trip to the Glendalough Valley. The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and has many attractions to entice, entertain and enthral visitors, from its world famous Monastic Site with Round Tower (this early Christian monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the “Monastic City”) to its scenic lakes and valleys, as well as a selection of walks and trails in the area including The Wicklow Way.

Afternoon

Lunch at Cathal Brugha Street campus, DIT

Site visit: Docklands Innovation Park. Docklands Innovation Park is a centre for software and IT companies, strategically located in the heart of Dublin Docklands. Its unique location is perfect for anyone wishing to position their business within walking distance of the IFSC but that also requires quick and easy road access via the Port tunnel to the Airport and M50 on the north side of the city.
