Our House

Many families in Kyiv live in flats, but some people live in their own houses in suburbs. My friend has a house in a Kyiv suburb. Like most of Kyiv suburban houses, it consists оf only two floors: the ground floor and the first floor.

On the ground floor there's the dining-room, the lounge or sitting-room, the kitchen and the hall. In the hall we see a stand for hats and coats. A staircase leads from the hall to the land on the first floor. On this floor there are three bedroom bathroom, and the lavatory.

On the top of the roof there is a chimney. In front of the house he has a small garden where he grows flowers: roses, tulips and so on. At the back of the house there is a much larger garden with a lawn and some fruit-trees. There's also vegetable garden, where he grows all kinds of vegetables, such as potatoes, cabbages, cauliflowers, onions and tomatoes.

At the side of the house there is a garage where he keep, his car. The garden is enclosed by a fence with a gate in it.
