Popular British designer's store just off Covent Garden Piazza. With ranges for men, women and children, shopping here could easily turn into a family affair, albeit an expensive one. What you do get, however, are immaculately tailored clothes that manage not only to be contemporary, but in many cases, quintessentially English too. The designer's 'London Line' of suits is particularly appealing, while the kids range features some seriously funky T-shirts, printed dresses and denim jeans [8].

Paul Smith has the ability to anticipate, and even spark off trends not only fashion but in the wider context of popular culture. He manages to transmit a genuine sense of humour and mischief mixed with his love of tradition and the classics

Paul Smith is global - the collection is wholesaled to thirty five countries and has fourteen shops in England.

Julien Macdonald

Born in Merthyr Tydfil, Macdonald went to Cyfarthfa High school in Merthyr Tydfil. Macdonald was taught knitting by his mother, and soon became interested in design. He was also interested in a career as a dancer, but instead studied textiles at The Faculty of Arts and Architecture,Brighton and went on to the Royal College of Art where he gained a Masters. Soon after he graduated, Karl Lagerfeld recruited him to work for Chanel. He also worked freelance creating knitwear for Alexander McQueen

In 2000, he was appointed as successor to Alexander McQueen as chief designer at the Paris Haute Couture house of Givenchy, and in 2001 he was named British Fashion Designer of the Year. His creations have been worn by stars such as Joely Richardson, Kylie Minogue, Geri Halliwell, Dame Shirley Bassey, Carmen Electra and Naomi Campbell [1]. He was also selected by British Airways to redesign their flight attendants' uniforms. He also acts as a judge on the British version of Project Runway, known as Project Catwalk, which is broadcast on Sky One. In June 2006 he was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to fashion.

Also there are shops of Armani, Chanel, Christian Dior(The fashion design house from Paris), Christian Lacroix, Donna Karan, Fendi(Clothes and more from the italian fashion house), Gianfranco Ferre, Givenchy, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Moschino, Nicole Miller, Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker, Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, YSL(Yves Saint Laurent), Dolce & Gabbana, Prada.

Conclusion

Always the question interests - what fashion will be tomorrow?

The fashion developed throughout many millenia, but now in a fashion for a long time develops nothing. The fashion is cyclic. We again come back to 1970s.

The works of John Galliano, Dior, Alexander McQueen and Givenchy seems to be just a seeking of Nineties version of street fashion.

In conclusion we can say that, fashion now implies an awareness of and a desire to be at the forefront of changes in styles of dress and personal appearance
